Alberto Morillas conceived Wood Essence as the "green" counterpart to Bvlgari's existing Man series — clean, transparent, almost forest-air in character — rather than another classical heavy oriental. The cypress at the heart anchors the composition, while cedar and vetiver give it a soft, slightly mineral quality.
