The story behind Eau de Couture
Cher worked alongside Gavarry in choosing every individual raw material in the composition, returning to it across four years until they were both happy with the result. The brief was for an unmistakably grown-up, unisex perfume — built on the kind of full-bodied florals and warm woods more often associated with classical European parfumerie than celebrity launches. The clove-and-rose opening gives it a bite that softens through orange blossom and jasmine into a creamy, slightly powdery vanilla-orchid drydown.
