Jean Paul Gaultier Scandal Pour Homme Le Parfum 50ml is the bolder, more serious 2022 evolution of Scandal Pour Homme — an Eau de Parfum Intense built around geranium, creamy tonka bean and rich sandalwood. Co-created by Quentin Bisch, Natalie Gracia-Cetto and Christophe Raynaud, it strips back the original's playful caramel side in favour of a denser, more sensual woody-amber masculinity.
About Jean Paul Gaultier
Jean Paul Gaultier is a French fashion house founded in 1976 by the designer of the same name, known for breton stripes, conical corsets and a long-standing love of subverting gender codes. Its fragrances, today produced by Puig, include some of the most recognisable bottles in modern perfumery — Le Mâle, Classique, Scandal — all sharing the brand's torso-shaped flacons. Scandal Pour Homme launched in 2021 as the masculine counterpart to the brand's Scandal pillar; Le Parfum is its concentrated, more refined chapter.

The story behind Scandal Pour Homme Le Parfum
Where the original Scandal Pour Homme leaned into a sweet caramel-mate-vetiver signature, Le Parfum was briefed as the night-out version — heavier on tonka, deeper in sandalwood, and structured around a single statement floral, geranium, that gives the composition a clean, slightly metallic bite. The bottle keeps the gold-knuckle silhouette of the line but in a darker, more polished finish.
Who it's for
Best for men who like the original Scandal Pour Homme but want something more grown-up and easier to wear in a formal context, or who prefer rich tonka-and-wood compositions like Yves Saint Laurent Y Le Parfum, Dior Sauvage Elixir or Carolina Herrera Bad Boy Le Parfum. The sandalwood-tonka drydown gives it autumn-and-winter character and serious longevity, while the geranium opening keeps it polished rather than gourmand.
How to wear it
Spray onto pulse points — wrists, neck and the base of the throat — from around 15 cm away. As an Eau de Parfum Intense, expect strong projection in the first one to two hours and a deep, creamy skin scent that lingers eight hours or more. Apply moderately at first; the tonka and sandalwood bloom over the first 30 minutes.
