The story behind XIX March
"La Focarina" is one of the oldest seasonal rituals in central Italy — communities gather around a bonfire on the night before the feast day of San Giuseppe (Saint Joseph) to mark the changing of the seasons. Paolo Terenzi translates that scene into a fragrance: the green nettle and mint of the field, the smoky aromatic warmth of the fire (clove, cinnamon, lavender), and the dry-woody character (rosemary, vetiver, sandalwood) of the smoke that lingers afterwards.
