Basic Instinct is a woody-chypre eau de toilette for men from Van Gils, released in 2002 and composed by Pierre Bourdon. Mandarin, bergamot, melon, pineapple, cucumber, nutmeg and lavender give a fresh, fruity opening, a heart of orange blossom, jasmine and violet adds a soft, floral depth, and a base of rum, wood, amber, musk, oakmoss, patchouli and vetiver leaves a warm, mossy trail.
