Yves Saint Laurent Libre Hair Mist 30ml takes the bold lavender-orange-blossom signature of YSL's bestselling Libre Eau de Parfum and reinterprets it as a featherweight perfumed mist designed specifically for hair. Lighter than a fragrance spray, it lays down a soft, lingering veil of scent while a touch of pomegranate extract from the YSL Ourika Community Gardens in Morocco helps leave hair feeling brighter and softer.
About Libre
Libre launched in 2019 as YSL Beauty's modern signature fragrance for women, conceived by perfumers Anne Flipo and Carlos Benaïm as a "freedom flower" — a confident pairing of French lavender from Haute-Provence with Moroccan orange blossom. The Hair Mist, introduced in 2021, takes the same fragrance architecture and rebuilds it in an alcohol-led but hair-friendly base so the scent can be worn through every movement of the hair without the heaviness of a true Eau de Parfum.
Fragrance notes
- Top: Mandarin Orange, Petitgrain, Blackcurrant
- Heart: Lavender Essence, Orange Blossom, Jasmine Sambac
- Base: Madagascar Vanilla, Musk, Ambergris accord, Cedarwood
Olfactory family: Floral | Launched: 2021 (Hair Mist edition; original Libre Eau de Parfum 2019)
Who it's for
Made for women who already wear Libre and want a subtler way to carry the scent through the day, and for anyone who prefers fragrance close to the hair and skin rather than projecting outward. The mist works as a layering piece over the Libre Eau de Parfum or as a lighter, standalone scent for office hours, daytime and warmer weather.
How to use
- Hold the bottle around 20–25 cm from clean, dry, brushed hair.
- Spray a fine mist over the lengths and ends, avoiding the roots and scalp.
- Let the mist settle for a few seconds before tying or styling the hair.
- Reapply through the day as desired; the formula is designed to be gentle enough for repeated use.
