Donna Karan New York is an American fashion company founded by designer Donna Karan and her late husband Stephan Weiss. The first perfume, Donna Karan for Women, was launched in 1992. In collaboration with Estee Lauder, new fragrances for men and women were offered throughout the 1990s. Luxury goods conglomerate LVMH acquired the company in 2000. Perfumes continue to be offered under the Donna Karan Beauty and DKNY labels.
Donna Karan fragrances were made in collaboration with perfumers Rodrigo Flores-Roux, IFF, Alberto Morillas, Harry Fremont, Trudi Loren, Yann Vasnier, Calice Becker, Anne Flipo, Maurice Roucel, Olivier Gillotin, Pierre Negrin, Jean-Marc Chaillan, Nicholas Calderone, Yves Cassar and Stephen Nilsen.
